Central-North Florida and South Florida District Export Council Chairs (Dr. Ozkan Erdem and Mr. Jim Anzalone) recently sent a letter to select members of the Florida Congressional delegation and to the U.S. Secretary of Commerce, Gina Raimondo, to advocate leveraging the Biden-Harris “Build Back Better” Strategy to help rebuild America’s export development infrastructure. The need for increased investment in the U.S. Commercial Service was outlined in the National Association of District Export Council (NADEC) Advisory Board’s framework paper “The U.S. & Foreign Commercial Service: A Necessary Tool to Increase U.S. Exports”, which was appended to the letter. A copy of the framework paper is available here.

The Central-North Florida District Export Council’s Vice Chair and Trade Policy Committee Chair, Chris Leggett, was instrumental in drafting the letter. Questions about this letter can be directed to Chris here. A copy of the letter is available here.
